Library

The library is a very busy place. It is home to classes, meetings, small study groups, study hall students and testing. The library has truly become the hub of school activity. The library is a cooperative work/study venture where we can all collaborate to provide opportunities for intellectual, cultural and academic growth of students and faculty. Therefore, certain rules apply to the use of the library.

• Respectful work decorum must be maintained in the library. Students working together may talk in soft voices. Loud voices or raucous behavior will not be permitted.
• Students must be actively engaged in productive work such as class assignments or research projects. After completing their work, they may engage in recreational reading.
• Gum, food and beverages are not permitted in the library. Only school issued electronic devices are permitted in the library during class hours, unless you have permission from the librarians ahead of time.
• We must all respect those students and teachers who are working.
• Students must know their student ID to check out library materials, or know their student ID number.
• Students who want to come to the library during lunch must get a pass from a library staff member in the morning before school or the afternoon of the prior day. Teachers in the cafeteria cannot give passes to the students for library use.
• Study hall students who want to use the library must have a purpose for being here. These students should report to their assigned study hall room first and receive a pass to come to the library. 
• Library hours are 6:45 AM to 3:35 PM Monday through Friday unless posted otherwise.
