On Thursday, January 29, cadets from the North Plainfield High School Navy Junior ROTC program successfully completed their annual Area Manager’s Inspection. 217 cadets participated this year, marking a significant 25% increase from the 174 cadets who took part last year.

The Yes, You Can! program welcomed motivational speakers Keith Davis, a retired New York Giants linebacker, and Germard Reed, a retired Seattle Seahawks player, to speak with students in grades 9–12 at NPHS. Their powerful message of purpose, perseverance, and personal accountability resonated throughout the cafeteria as students were challenged to embrace the idea that “The Second Half Starts Now!”

Ben Sokolowski has been awarded the prestigious NROTC Scholarship through a highly competitive national selection process. This scholarship provides full tuition to a four-year college or university, a book stipend, and a monthly stipend. Upon earning their degree, scholarship recipients are commissioned as officers in the United States Marine Corps.
