Interact

Interact is a community service club, where we work with our local Rotary club, a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.

Projects we commit ourselves to:

• Food Drive (Thanksgiving and year-round)
• Clothes Drives
• Blood Drive (Fall & Spring)
• The blood drives are a very important contribution that Interact makes to our community. It requires serious dedication in planning, scheduling appointments, helping at assemblies, advertising and encouraging donors, helping out at the drive (checking in, ID, blood buddies), and many other responsibilities.
• Pennies for Patients (Leukemia and Lymphoma fundraiser)
• Beach Sweep - an annual program every March, District 7510 coordinates the project and provides lunch for all participating Interact Clubs from our district.
• Rutgers Concessions - another annual project, the Interact Club members work with Rotarians to staff concession stands at Rutgers basketball games. Working with Rotarians helps raise funds for the Rotary Club Scholarship Program.
• Interact also works the concession stand at the annual New Jersey Lacrosse State Championship games. All money earned from this particular event is awarded as a scholarship to graduating Interact Club members.
